We have all seen the fantastic projects created by our members Ray Davis and Robert “Rocky” Rouchelau and looked in awe at the marvelous designs and intricate structures they created.
I am here to tell you that with practice, anybody can do the same. There are many methods of fabricating open segmented turnings. Some are very expensive, but what about those of us on a budget? Can we do this? Yes we can! I will demonstrate a couple of methods I used when I first began segmenting. Here is a quick comparison between to commercial jigs and tools and the beginner set I used.
